Snare Support System A method I use for snare support that works well in frozen ground and areas that regular support anchoring methods do not. I purchse 18” or 24” wooden grading stakes and cut them into 6” sections with a point on one end I then drill a hole approximatly 2” from the pointed end. To use I then take an appropriate length of support wire (I use #9) and insert about 2” into the hole on the stake and bend it upwards. I can then drive the stake into the ground in any location I want to hang my snare ,even frozen ground, and bend the support wire to suit. This is not my idea and I cannot remember where I learned it but this method has saved me countless hours of agrevation on my snare line. By Wake Taylor aka. Trapn1
